What is Univision Noticias?

Noticias Univision is the name of a major news program and of the news department of Latin American network giant Univision. The word "noticias" translates directly as "news" in English.

The name Univision was first used by the Spanish International Network in 1987, and although the network originated in Texas, as of 2015 it is based on New York City. The Spanish International Network was the first American television station to broadcast its programming in a language other than English. Las Noticias de Univision (Univision's News Department) is one of the most important Spanish news broadcasts in the United States.
