Early symptoms of multiple sclerosis include blurry vision, issues thinking, clumsiness, balance problems, and numbness, tingling and weakness in arms or legs, according to WebMD. Patients with MS may experience all or some of these symptoms in the early stages of their disease.

Multiple sclerosis tends to appear first in patients between the ages of 20 and 40, according to WebMD. Symptoms of the disease may appear then disappear. MS is a relapsing disease that progresses over time, thus the symptoms may disappear during times of remission. As the disease progresses, patients may experience symptoms that include trouble walking, dizziness, fatigue and unusual sensations in their muscles.
