What is vitamin K good for?
By Forinfos - 17/12/2025 - 0 comments
Vitamin K is primarily good for helping blood form clots when the skin is cut or bruised. The lack of vitamin K in an individual's system could result in too much bleeding, even from simple scrapes.
Although supplements and shots can be given if a person is deficient in vitamin K, the best sources come from food. Eating red meat, eggs, broccoli and strawberries on a regular basis should be enough to give the blood an adequate supply of the vitamin. However, drinking alcohol on a regular basis or taking certain medications may prevent vitamin K from being absorbed by the body. Therefore, supplementation may be needed.
