What is the waiting period in Texas to remarry someone you've divorced?

In Texas as of 2014, there is no waiting period to remarry someone that you've divorced. However, if you wish to marry a person other than the one you have just divorced, there is a 30-day waiting period.
The 30-day waiting period for marrying a third party can be waived by a judge, at the judge's discretion. If a marriage occurs before the 30-day waiting period is over, the new marriage can be invalidated. As a result, most marriage lawyers in Texas recommend waiting until the end of the 30-day period before marrying a new person. Although there is a history of marriage waiting periods in Texas, there have never been any waiting periods to remarry the same person after a divorce.
