Where do white tigers live?

The white tiger lives in the southeastern part of Asia, including Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh, as well as in various parts of India. White tiger habitats range from tropical forests and jungles to mangrove swamps.

To survive, white tigers need an area of at least 20 square miles and a sufficient supply of prey and fresh water. This large predator is typically a solitary animal, and the males of the species usually mark their territories by urinating or scratching the trees with their claws.

The white tiger is a Bengal tiger. Out of around 8,000 tigers that live in the wild, only 2,000 of them are Bengal tigers. Currently, all known white Bengal tigers live in captivity.
