To whiten false teeth, scrub them using a nail brush and a hand soap and water solution. Allow the dentures to soak in a denture cleaner, followed by a diluted solution of bleach. Finish the process by allowing the dentures to soak in plain water before using them again.
- Scrub the dentures
Using a nail brush, slowly scrub the dentures with hand soap and water. Scrub firmly, but carefully, around each false tooth.
- Soak the dentures in a cleaner
Soak the dentures in a high-quality denture cleaner, following all directions labeled on the product.
- Soak the dentures in the bleach solution
Mix 3/4 cup water with 1/4 cup of household bleach in a glass. The bleach must be less than 5 percent in strength. Very carefully place the dentures in the bleach solution and allow them to soak for 15 minutes.
- Replace the bleach solution with water
Hold the glass under a sink, and slowly turn the water on. Allow the glass to fill up with water and overflow into the sink for one minute.
- Scrub the dentures
Hold the dentures under running water, and scrub each tooth for two minutes.
- Soak the dentures in cold water
Place the dentures in a glass of cold water. Allow them to soak for at least one hour before use.
