The Confederate Army won the Second Battle of Bull Run. This battle was also known as The Battle of Second Manassas and was a part of the Northern Virginia Campaign of 1862.
Union forces were led by General John Pope, who commanded an estimated 70,000 Union soldiers. General Robert E. Lee and General T.J. "Stonewall" Jackson led two groups of Confederate soldiers, totalling an estimated 55,000. Union losses included 1,716 casualties, with 8,215 wounded and an additional 3,893 soldiers missing or captured. Confederate losses included 1,305 casualties, with 7,048 wounded and an unknown number of missing and captured. The battle lasted from August 28 to August 30.
