Where does Act IV take place in the "The Crucible"?

Act IV of "The Crucible" takes place in the Salem jail cell. The play was written in 1953 by Arthur Miller, and it represents a fictionalized story of the Salem witch trials.

In Act IV of the play, John Proctor and Rebecca Nurse are to be hanged. The scene shows Reverend John Hale trying to get Proctor and Nurse to confess, so that their lives will be saved. Reverend Samuel Paris also tries to make them to confess. The scene also shows Proctor's wife Elizabeth, who is called upon by Judges John Hawthorne and Thomas Danforth to get Proctor to confess as well. The scene ends with Proctor refusing to sign the confession and him about to be hanged.
