He surprised judges with his rendition of "I Got You (I Feel Good)," setting a record by having all four of them turn their chairs around faster than any other contestant in the show's history. He won the first battle round once on Team Pharrell. Instead of being voted off, he left the show voluntarily due to substance abuse related issues.
