Laminated Willy Wonka golden tickets can be purchased on Amazon.com for about $7, as of 2015. Occasionally someone can also find one in a chocolate bar, such as in a 2010 promotion by Nestle's Wonka company.

In Nestle's 2010 golden ticket promotion, 10 grand prize winners found golden tickets in chocolate bars. The winners won a trip around the world with three friends and $12,500 in spending money.

The original Wonka golden ticket that was used in the movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" in 1971 was sold at the Profiles in History auction in 2012 for an estimated £20,000, which is roughly equivalent to $31,000, as of 2015.
