What does a Bernese mountain dog and poodle mix look like?

A Bernese mountain dog mixed with a standard poodle is sometimes referred to as a Bernedoodle. The dogs usually have a wavy non-shedding coat. They come in black, black and brown, or black, brown and white (tri-color). They vary in size but usually weigh more than 50 pounds.

Some Bernedoodles have straight Bernese-type coats. Others have very curly poodle-type coats. They need moderate amounts of exercise and tend to make excellent family pets. They need to be brushed regularly. Unless they have straight Bernese-type coats they will need to be clipped regularly. Some Bernedoodles can be strong-willed. All Bernedoodles will benefit from training and socialization.
