Can you clean a shower head with vinegar?

You can clean a shower head with vinegar by filling a plastic sandwich bag with white distilled vinegar and tying it over the shower head. Leave the vinegar on the shower head for a few hours to remove residue.

1. Fill a sandwich bag with vinegar

   Fill a sandwich bag about three-quarters full with distilled white vinegar. Leave enough space in the bag to tie it to the shower head.

2. Tie the bag of vinegar to the shower head

   Place the bag of vinegar over the shower head, so the shower head is completely immersed in the vinegar. Use a twist tie, rubber band or string to securely tie the bag to the shower head.

3. Leave the vinegar on the shower head for a few hours

   Once the bag of vinegar is attached to the shower head, leave the vinegar on the shower head for at least a few hours. If the shower head is very soiled, leave the vinegar in place for several hours.

4. Turn the shower on

   Remove the bag of vinegar, and turn the shower on. Allow the water to run for a few minutes to wash away any remaining vinegar. Wipe the shower head clean with a damp paper towel to remove leftover residue.
