Dogs can eat blackberries in small quantities, as they provide substantial nutritional value, including manganese, folate and omega-3. Blackberries also have an assortment of vitamins that are good for dogs, including vitamins A, C, E and K.
Fruit should be fed to dogs in small quantities because it may cause stomach issues for some dogs. In addition, fruit can be high in calories, which can be detrimental to a healthy diet for a dog. Blackberries, for example, can be given to dogs as a treat. Only two to three should be given at a time. However, it is recommended that before feeding dogs any fruit, including blackberries, to check with a veterinarian.
