Where can you donate used eyeglasses?

People can donate used eyeglasses at community centers, schools, libraries, eye clinics and the offices of independent opticians. They can also mail them directly to grass-roots organizations or eyeglass recycling centers.

Organizations such as OneSight offers collection boxes at Pearle Vision, Lenscrafters, Sears Optical and Target Optical.

Lions Clubs International provides local drop-off centers and accepts eyeglasses sent by mail to a Lions Clubs eyeglass recycling center. The Lions Clubs accept prescription and non-prescription glasses in all sizes.

Some grass-roots organizations also collect, clean and repair glasses to be distributed to people who need glasses but cannot afford to purchase them.
