The California Franchise Tax Board serves as the administrator for two tax programs in the state of California: the Personal Income Tax program and the Corporation Tax program, notes the FTB. It also has jurisdiction over the Substandard Housing program and the City Business Tax program. Additionally, the FTB oversees the collection of vehicle registration debt on behalf of the state's Department of Motor Vehicles and administers the Court-Ordered Debt program, among others.
