Can you freeze fudge?

Chocolate fudge is freezable. Once frozen, the fudge has a shelf life of about 3 months.

Fudge freezes better if placed inside the freezer and not in the door shelves. Manual defrost freezers do a better job of ensuring the fudge does not dry out. Freezer containers or sturdy freezer bags ensure the fudge does not develop freezer burn or ice crystals. When thawing frozen fudge, place it in the refrigerator for defrosting. Once defrosted, the fudge tastes much better and exhibits more of its original creamy texture if it sits at room temperature for at least 20 minutes before eating it.
