Can you freeze ham?

Ham may be frozen from 1 to 6 months, depending on the type of ham. Uncooked ham usually freezes better than the cooked varieties.
Uncooked, fresh ham may be stored safely in the freezer for up to 6 months. If that same uncured ham is cooked, don't store it for longer than 4 months. Other types of ham, such as vacuum sealed ham, cured ham and all types of ham slices may be safely frozen for up to 2 months.
The only type of ham that cannot be frozen is canned ham. Although canned ham lasts up to 9 months if unopened, it cannot be safely frozen in the can. If removed from the can, it can be frozen for 1 to 2 months.
