How long can you freeze ham?

Depending on the type of ham that needs to be frozen, it can last between one and six months inside a freezer. Ham that is fresh, uncured and uncooked lasts the longest inside a freezer at six months.
Canned ham labeled "keep refrigerated" and is unopened should never be frozen but can last between six to nine months when refrigerated. Cooked ham, whether its sliced or whole, typically lasts between one and two months if frozen. Cooking ham before freezing does not appreciably decrease its freezer lifetime. When fresh ham is cooked prior to freezing, however, its freezer lifetime drops from six months to between three and four months.
