It is best to check with a veterinarian to make sure that the pet doesn't have sensitive skin. Some shampoos can cause allergic reactions in dogs that are sensitive. Symptoms can include swollen skin or a rash. In severe cases, an allergic reaction to shampoo can result in breathing problems in dogs.
