The Canton Repository is the former name of The Repository, a daily newspaper owned by Gatehouse Media that serves the Canton, Ohio area. The Repository circulates locally and has a fully accessible website. It also publishes an e-newsletter and offers iPhone, iPad and Android apps.
The Repository started in 1815 as a weekly paper called the Ohio Repository. It became a daily paper in 1892, changing ownership four times since its inception. The Repository is a sister newspaper of other Ohio dailies, including the Times-Reporter of New Philadelphia and the Independent of Massillon, and the weekly Suburbanite in southern Summit County.
