By Forinfos - 14/11/2025 - 0 comments
CCF stands for “centum cubic feet,†which means 100 cubic feet or 748 gallons of water, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Water and natural gas utilities use CCF to measure usage and bill customers accordingly.
The charge per CCF of water used varies depending on thewater utility company and the company’s billing structure. It covers the cost of providing water, including the cost of chemical water treatment and the energy used to deliver the water. Many utilities also charge a base fee to cover the costs of maintaining existing infrastructure and repaying loans and bonds that were used to construct the infrastructure.
