How do you clean makeup brushes with vinegar?

Cleaning your makeup brushes with vinegar and water once a week, or every other week, helps keep the brushes in good condition. All you need is water, vinegar, a small bowl and a towel.

1. Combine the vinegar and water

   Combine 1/2 cup of warm water with 1/4 cup vinegar. Mix the liquids in a small bowl.

2. Clean your brushes

   Stir your makeup brushes gently into the mixture to dissolve the build-up and to clean the brushes.

3. Rinse your brushes

   To get rid of the excess residue of product build-up, rinse the makeup brushes with warm water. This also removes the smell of the vinegar.

4. Lay your brushes on a towel to dry

   Lay your brushes on a clean towel in order to keep them clean while they dry. Leave your brushes to dry overnight.
