What is a CNA certification?

CNA certification is licensure to become a certified nursing assistant. The requirements for CNA certification vary from state to state, but all states require applicants to complete a state-accredited training program and pass an exam to get their license.
Nursing assistants work on a variety of health care settings, including hospitals, medical offices and assisted living facilities. CNAs are mainly tasked with assisting patients in their daily duties, and relaying important information about any changes in a patient's behavior or condition to the doctors and nurses on duty. In some facilities, nursing assistants also collect data on the patients, such as vital signs or intake and output.
