What are collie mix puppies?

A collie mix is a mixed-breed dog of unknown lineage that appears, or is known, to have some amount of collie ancestry. Recognizable collie characteristics that are often passed down are pointy, upward-turned ears; a long, pointy snout; and a long, full coat of the rough variety of collie.

Collies are typically 50 to 70 pounds, though a collie mix may be larger or smaller based upon what other breeds the mix has in its ancestry. Collies are known for intelligence and sensitivity and make excellent family dogs. This temperament may or may not be passed down to a collie mix.
