Is the color bisque the same as almond?

Almond and bisque are not colors with strict definitions like yellow or blue, so in some naming schemes, they are identical, while in others they are not. Almond and bisque are typically very light, almost white browns.

Almond and bisque, both names for off-white, were once very trendy in interior design, especially home appliances. As of 2015, off-white has largely gone out of fashion and has been supplanted by stainless steel. However, Benjamin Moore continues to produce a paint called Almond Bisque.

In some naming schemes, like the x11 color set for Web design, almond and bisque are distinct colors that are very close together in tone, hue and saturation. In other schemes, such as the case with Benjamin Moore, they are identical.
