What is dandelion tea?
By Forinfos - 06/07/2025 - 0 comments
Dandelion tea is a drink made by submerging the roasted roots of the dandelion plant in boiling water. The dandelion plant contains many vitamins and minerals, and dandelion tea is sometimes touted as a healthier alternative to coffee.
Containing vitamins A, B, C, and D as well as the minerals iron, potassium, and zinc, dandelion is far from being a simple weed. Dandelion has been traditionally used in different cultures for treatment of various ailments including liver issues, stomach problems, diabetes and kidney disease. Dandelion is also said to be a diuretic, helping the body get rid of excess fluid. However, quality research is lacking on the medicinal properties of dandelion for humans.
