When did Maple Grove Raceway first open?

The Maple Grove Raceway first opened in 1962. The raceway, owned by the Stauffer family, has been home to many historic drag races.

Maple Grove Raceway is located in Mohnton Park, Pennsylvania. Just years after the track opened, it began hosting national events. In 1969, Maple Grove received one of the Northeast Division World Championship series events and in 1974, it was awarded the honor of the NHRA Northeast Division Track of the Year award. It received the same award in 1975. In 1985, the track began hosting the NHRA nation races and won the best track of the year award once again.
