American country and gospel singer Ralna English and her husband Guy Hovis divorced in 1984 after a 15-year marriage. They performed as Guy and Ralna, a husband-and-wife singing duo, for 12 years. Their act was the most popular one on "The Lawrence Welk Show" until the show ended in 1982.

Ralna English and Guy Hovis have a daughter Julie, born in 1978. Although Guy Hovis remarried, Ralna English has remained single as of 2015. Despite divorcing and then pursuing separate careers for many years, the couple remained on friendly terms. They reunited professionally and still perform together regularly in concerts.
