What is a dollar bill misprint?
By Forinfos - 15/06/2025 - 0 comments
A dollar bill misprint occurs when a bill is printed incorrectly during manufacture by the United States Mint. Common misprint inaccuracies include serial numbers, seals or cuts in the wrong place and color variations, such as a seal appearing as blue, red or yellow rather than green.
The value of a misprinted dollar bill is related to the severity and rarity of the printing inaccuracy rather than the age of the bill itself. A 1934 dollar bill where one side is printed upside down is worth approximately the same amount as one printed in 2000 if they have the same inaccuracy.
