Where is the Region of Peel in Canada?

The Regional Municipality of Peel is located in Southern Ontario, Canada. It is a part of the Greater Toronto Area and encompasses the cities of Brampton and Mississauga and the town of Caledon.

The Peel Region is the second largest municipality in Ontario with a population of 1.3 million, as of 2011, and an area of 481 square miles. As of 2015, the regional seat is Brampton and the regional chair is Frank Dale. It was created in 1974 by the Bill Davis government. The region is named after Sir Robert Thomas Peel, a former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
