Where is the Grand Canyon located?

The Grand Canyon started to form around 17 million years ago. The Colorado River formed the canyon through the process of erosion. The range of temperatures in the Grand Canyon widely varies, with the Inner Gorge area frequently reaching high temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, while the rims of the canyon have recorded temperatures below 0 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter.
