What is a hammer toe splint?
By Forinfos - 25/05/2026 - 0 comments
According to Feet Relief, hammer toe splints are foot pads that are specifically designed to repair damaged toes that curl under or over one another. A hammer toe splint consists of a sturdy pad and two to three toe loops. The loops align the toes and prevent them from shifting.
WebMD explains that hammertoe splints are beneficial for individuals who are experiencing early hammertoe symptoms. Hammertoes occur when the toe joints become stuck in one position due to strained ligaments. Hammertoes can also be treated with orthotic inserts, over-the-counter foot pads and anti-inflammatory medications. Surgical procedures that remove a portion of the affected toe joint can also help to treat the condition.
