All flooring requires some level of cleaning, but there are some types of flooring that are easier to maintain than others. Low-maintenance flooring includes vinyl, engineered wood and porcelain tile.
Vinyl flooring is one of the easiest to maintain flooring options. While it is not actually hardwood, many styles of vinyl flooring are made to replicate wood. Vinyl is stain-resistant, easy to upkeep and easy to clean. The next easiest floor to clean is engineered wood. This looks very similar to hardwood with some minor differences. A benefit is that it is easier to care for than hardwood. Porcelain tile doesn't look like wood flooring, but it is also easy to clean.
