When was Henry Hudson born?

Henry Hudson was born in 1565 in England. He was an English explorer who made four voyages in search of a passage to Asia that was free from ice. The Hudson River and Hudson Bay are both named after him.

In June 1611, on his final voyage in search of the Northwestern Passage, Hudson was cast out of the ship by mutineers among his crew, along with several other crew members and his son. He was set adrift in a small boat. Historians assume that he died near the Hudson Bay along with the others in his party sometime after, most likely due to exposure.
