How high can a mouse jump?

Even though they are tiny, measuring 2 to 3 inches in body length and weighing only about 1 ounce, common house mice can jump as high as 1 foot and can traverse up to 13 inches of a vertical wall. They can also swim ½ mile.
Mice are also very fast when they move. They can travel 12 feet in a single second. Since mice are nocturnal animals, it is usually difficult to observe their movement during the day. They are attracted to all types of food, so leaving food out is a good way to tempt them out of hiding.
