The upper half of Denali is covered in snow and glaciers up to 30 miles long. The temperatures are extreme, reaching as low as negative 75 degrees Fahrenheit with negative 118 F wind chill. Over 32,000 people have attempted to reach the mountain's peak as of 2015 with a 50-percent success rate.
