What is the highest point in Pike National Forest?

The highest point in Pike National Forest is Mount Evans, which has an elevation of 14,264 feet. Other mountains, known as "fourteeners" because they are more than 14,000 feet tall, are Mount Bierstadt, Mount Democrat and Mount Lincoln. Pike National Forest is a 1,106,604-acre national forest located in Colorado.

Mount Evans is located in the Mount Evans Wilderness, a region of 73,000 acres in Pike National Forest. This area of the park is largely undeveloped and can only be reached by horse, foot or four-wheel drive vehicles. Visitors to this area can see remains of stage routes and historical mining railroads. Pike National Forest was designated as a United States National Forest in 1906.
