Pokemon Showdown is a Pokemon battle simulator played online. Users can play with randomly generated teams, build their own teams, participate in ladder races and watch battle replays. The game can be played through an Internet browser or installed on Windows.

Pokemon Showdown provides usage statistics for its battles, including the most used Pokemon and the most used abilities, items, moves and statistics for those Pokemon. Users can use a damage calculator to see the actual damage a Pokemon's move can do and access online chat servers. Pokemon Showdown also provides a search engine to find details on specific Pokemon, moves, abilities, item and types.
