What are some homemade stain removers?

A mixture of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and Dawn dish soap is an effective homemade stain remover. Vinegar can be used to remove various stains including mildew, ink, grass and juice.

Mix one part Dawn dish soap with two parts hydrogen peroxide, then add 1 to 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Before throwing the stained clothing in the washing machine, use a toothbrush to rub the mixture into the stain, and let it sit for at least an hour. Soak soiled clothing in a vinegar solution before washing to remove stains. Tougher stains such as mildew may require a soak in full strength vinegar.
