When is the hurricane season in the Maldives?

There is no hurricane season in the Maldives, as the equatorial region rarely sees such storms. No hurricanes have ever been reported in the Maldives.

May through October is the rainy or monsoon season in the Maldives. During these months, strong storms are a regular occurrence, though these storms do not approach the severity of hurricanes. These storms sometimes last for several days, and rainfall is a near-daily occurrence during this season, especially between June and August.

From December until March or April, the weather is much more mild. Rain is only occasional during these months, and winds are gentler. As a result, the seas are generally calm in this period.
