A Lhasapoo puppy is an immature cross between a Lhasa Apso and a Poodle, usually a miniature Poodle. Lhasapoos usually have wavy coats that need regular brushing and professional grooming. They come in many different colors and have alert-looking faces and sturdy bodies.
Lhasapoos weigh 10 to 20 pounds at maturity. They may be friendly and affectionate, but some have the suspicious nature of the Lhasa Apso. Lhasapoos tend to make good watchdogs but can be prone to excessive barking. They are moderately active and highly trainable dogs. Some Lhaspoos are hypoallergenic. They are suitable in households with older children.
