What is a Peekapoo puppy?

By Forinfos - 01/05/2026 - 0 comments

A Peekapoo is a hybrid between a purebred Pekingese and a purebred miniature poodle. The hybrid breed was developed in the 1950s, the first of the many poodle hybrid breeds developed.

The Peekapoo, as with many poodle crossbreeds, has a nonshedding coat, making the breed ideal for people who suffer from allergies. They stand an average of 11 inches tall and weigh in between 10 and 20 pounds. Peekapoos tend to be calmer than other toy breeds and are usually well behaved. Most of the Peekapoo's exercise needs can be met indoors, though a daily walk and outdoor play is also recommended. The Peekapoo lives between 11 and 15 years.
