Does the law require employers to post a federal minimum wage poster at work sites?

Federal law requires that every private, federal, state and local government employer post the minimum wage poster if they employ employees subject to the Fair Labor Standards Minimum Wage provision. The poster must be displayed in a place where employees can easily read it.

Employers not only need to post the minimum wage poster, but they must keep it posted in a conspicuous place in all of their establishments. Employers can obtain a copy of the poster at the U.S. Department of Labor website. Some states, such as New York, also require that state minimum wage posters be posted in workplaces.
