How long is EMT training?
By Forinfos - 17/05/2025 - 0 comments
EMT training generally takes between 120 and 150 hours to complete. The exact amount of time required depends on the specific training program a student enrolls in. After finishing an EMT training program, individuals must pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians exam.
EMTs also have to obtain their certification within two years of finishing their EMT training course. During EMT training, students learn skills in CPR, administering oxygen and treating allergic reactions. EMTs can use this training as a stepping stone for getting into a paramedic training program, which can require 1,200 to 1,800 hours of course work.
