How long is pork safe in the refrigerator?

Fresh, uncooked pork, such as chops or steaks, can be kept in the refrigerator for three to five days. Pork liver, ground pork or other varieties should be consumed within one or two days. Bacon keeps for a week, while raw pork sausages remain safe for two days.
Once cooked, pork products may be refrigerated for another four days without any concerns. Beyond four days, the dishes should be moved to the freezer, where they remain safe for two to three months.
It is important to note that these time estimates rely on refrigeration at or below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. If pork products are kept at a higher temperature, they may become unsafe much sooner and may harbor dangerous bacteria.
