How many members are in the Florida House of Representatives?

As of 2015, The Florida House of Representatives is made up of 120 members. Elected representatives serve two-year terms and are limited to serving no more than four consecutive terms totaling eight years.

Pursuant to the last election held on November 4, 2014, the Florida legislature is composed of 39 Democratic party representatives and 81 Republican party representatives. As of 2015, leadership is comprised of House Speaker Steve Crisafulli, Majority Leader Dana Young and Minority Leader Mark Pafford. The Florida House of Representatives is part of the lower house of the Florida legislature, and regular sessions last no more than sixty days, unless specifically extended by a vote of each house.
