Are Maytag appliance models energy efficient?

A large number of Maytag appliance models meet the Department of Energy's Energy Star standard for efficiency. These include products from both Maytag's kitchen and laundry appliance lines.

The Department of Energy certifies several Maytag dishwasher, residential clothes dryer and refrigerator models as Energy Star compliant as of 2015, as well as models in both the residential and commerical clothes washer product lines. Energy Star does not offer certification for ranges, ovens and microwave ovens from any manufacturer, so no Maytag products in these categories are certified as energy-efficient. Maytag also does not internally designate any of its products in these categories as being energy-efficient.
