Is Mexx Canada still in business?

As of May 2015, Mexx Canada is no longer in business. Mexx liquidated all 95 of its locations in Canada in 2015. The closure occurred after debt restructuring in both Canada and the Netherlands failed, and the company failed to find a buyer for the business.

Mexx Canada operated from headquarters in Montreal and filed for bankruptcy protection in late 2014. It had debts of approximately $113.4 million, the majority of which related to its Lifestyle and Mexx Europe divisions. The company's closure resulted in job loss for approximately 1,700 retail employees and 85 office employees at its corporate headquarters and distribution center.
