In addition to caffeine, 5-hour Energy contains vitamins, citicoline and tyrosine to improve nerve function, amino acids, taurine, malic acid and several other additives. The bottles contain a warning about the amino acid phenylalanine, which is harmful for those with phenylketonuria, a hereditary condition, and niacin, which causes flushing in some people.
