How much coffee does the average American drink?

As of 2014, statistics show that the average American drink approximately 3.1 cups of coffee per day. The average size of a typical cup of coffee is about 9 ounces.

Another interesting statistic on coffee is that there are about 100 million Americans who drink coffee on a daily basis. Approximately 65 percent of coffee consumption occurs during breakfast time. Likewise, about 24 percent of coffee drinkers drink at least 13 cups of coffee per week.

Although there are many countries that produce coffee, such as Colombia, India and Mexico, Brazil produces about 30 percent of the world’s coffee supply.
